Certificato di proprietà: cos’è e a cosa serve?

Il certificato di proprietà è il documento che attesta lo stato giuridico attuale del veicolo ed è rilasciato dalle unità territoriali dell’ACI – Pubblico Registro Automobilistico.

Ormai dal 15 ottobre 2015 non è più cartaceo ma digitale e la sua presenza non è necessaria per la circolazione su strada.

Foglio complementare auto: esiste ancora?

Fino al 1994 il foglio complementare auto era il documento che attestava  il possesso di un dato veicolo da parte di una persona e ne riportava tutte le informazioni principali.

Dal 1994 è stato sostituito dal certificato di proprietà cartaceo e pertanto è presente soltanto sulle vetture con più di venti anni di età.

Deve essere conservato con particolare attenzione dal proprietario del veicolo poiché è fondamentale la sua presentazione in caso di eventuali richieste al Pubblico Registro Automobilistico.

Certificato di proprietà digitale

La digitalizzazione dei documenti ha coinvolto anche il mondo dell’auto e dal 15 ottobre 2015 il certificato di proprietà non è più cartaceo ma digitale. Al momento dell’acquisto di un’auto nuova o usata, verrà rilasciata una ricevuta dell’avvenuta registrazione che conterrà anche il codice di accesso personalizzato con il quale visualizzare online il documento.

Grazie al CdP digitale non si correrà più il rischio di smarrire questo documento e verrà garantita una maggiore sicurezza in caso di contraffazione.

Nel caso in cui la ricevuta con il codice d’accesso venga smarrita è possibile chiedere una ristampa gratuita rivolgendosi direttamente allo Sportello Telematico dell’Automobilista che l’ha rilasciata precedentemente.

Certificato di proprietà cartaceo

Tutte le vetture immatricolate dal 1994 sino al mese di ottobre 2015 sono accompagnate dal certificato di proprietà cartaceo. Questo documento, riporta i dati relativi al proprietario dell’auto, al veicolo ed eventuali informazioni su fermi amministrativi o gravami fiscali.

Certificato di proprietà auto smarrito: cosa fare?

Se, malauguratamente, si dovesse smarrire il certificato di proprietà cartaceo per procedere alla demolizione del veicolo basterà presentare la denuncia di smarrimento resa alle autorità di Polizia eventualmente si potrà richiedere il rilascio del duplicato all’unità territoriale dell’ACI – Pubblico Registro Automobilistico (PRA).

Se lo smarrimento ha invece ad oggetto la ricevuta del CdP digitale si potrà chiedere la ristampa allo Sportello Telematico dell’Automobilista che in precedenza ha rilasciato la ricevuta.

Certificato di proprietà auto usata

In caso di acquisto di un auto usata si potrà entrare in possesso del certificato di proprietà digitale soltanto dopo l’autentica della firma del venditore sull’atto di vendita e la successiva registrazione del passaggio di proprietà presso il PRA.
